A Pregnancy Prayer for The Mom Who Is Afraid!

Just four months ago, I delivered my fourth son. Even though I've been down this path before, I still had some anxiety about the pregnancy and my delivery. It’s perfectly normal to be afraid when you are pregnant! The thing that carried me through every step of the way and gave me peace of mind, was prayer! There is great power in seeking God when we are afraid. May this prayer bless you and help you to look forward to this special time and may you be deeply encouraged as you approach the delivery of your baby!

Lord, we praise You for this new life that You are forming inside this mom. While it’s exciting and amazing, it is also scary at times. Relieve her fears about physical pain. Give her peace of mind that You have established child birth from the beginning of the world and that You will be with her in each moment. Many times in the Bible, You tell Your people not to be afraid. Don’t allow fear to rob her of the joy of this blessing. Lord, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Give this sweet mother a spirit of hope as she trusts in You.

Father, You are good and Your ways are good. Allow this mom to focus on Your goodness during the challenges of her pregnancy. Help her mind to focus on You and the joy set before her. Help her to enjoy every moment leading up to childbirth. Don’t allow her to worry anymore. She is Your daughter and we know that You love her unconditionally. May she feel Your love, even right now.

Thank You, Jesus, for never leaving her side and for watching over her. Give her peace that passes all understanding. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
