There have been stages in my life where I didn’t know who to turn to for guidance and support. While I knew to rely on God and seek His wisdom first, I also knew He gave His children the blessing of community to help us grow and to give sound advice rooted in Biblical truth and insight.

I needed a wise friend who would listen and guide my heart along the journey.

But, I couldn’t find that friend. Sometimes, embarrassment or fear kept me from reaching out and seeking support from those around me. But other times, I simply didn’t have someone in my circle of friends and family that could speak to my problem with sincerity, honesty, and objectivity. Often, I felt very alone.

If this sounds like where your heart is — I want to help.

Scripture Affirms the Benefits and Blessings of Wise Counsel

Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. - Proverbs 19:20 |
Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors, there is safety. - Proverbs 11:14 |

My email inbox and Facebook messages are overflowing with questions from women seeking godly counsel about parenting, friendships, marital issues, their personal walk with Jesus, and more. The need for this kind of support and mentorship is great. And while I’m not a doctor or licensed therapist, God has called me in unique ways to informally counsel and support women in various life stages.

  • He called me for several years to an online support group where I walked with thousands of women to help them experience freedom from anger.

  • He called me to a decade of mentoring teen girls towards spiritual growth and maturity.

  • He called me to a small group of ten women who came to my home for weekly Bible Study and fellowship.

Perhaps He is calling you and I to a one-on-one relationship rooted in His Word and marked by support and true growth.

1 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us that, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” Therefore, Scripture is the starting point for each and every issue we talk through — my minor in theology combined with a thorough knowledge of the scriptures from twelve cover-to-cover readings will give us a strong place to start our discussion, firmly rooted in God’s Word.

You’ll find that my personality and counseling style brings the biblical principle of speaking “truth in love” to bear on the issue at hand. I also have a decade of teaching experience under my belt and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Educational Administration, which means you’ll never walk away without practical steps to take as you move forward.

The come-alongside nature of counseling…

…is a natural outpouring of who God has created me to be and He continues to place me in positions online and in more intimate settings to listen to and guide women just like you.
